It's just not that good anymore. What used to be a reliable neighborhood staple has expanded; with a larger dining area, wide ranging menu, expansive dessert selection. Nonetheless, overall quality has declined. Meats are worse, vegetables/salads not fresh, potatoes no longer fresh/well seasoned, portions smaller, service less friendly. Fell in love with Cedars shawarma, too bad "The Strand" couldn't live up to the legacy and is slowly tarnishing it. To the owners: stop doing too much (nobody wants donuts or fish and chips!). To potential customers: just go to Bank Shawarma and Poutine.

I love the atmosphere, the cinema-theme really works well and the garage doors are cool (especially when they open them up in the summer). I ordered a chicken shawarma. The chicken was relatively clean & fresh, they seem to use a more balanced mix of the different types of cuts of chicken in their roast. I would just advise them to be a bit more mindful of the freshness of their bread and toppings (pickles, salad, etc). I recommend this place for a quick bite. The prices are also reasonable compared to other places that rob you blind.

Great local family friendly restaurant with delicious food. Breakfast special is nice on the weekend. Staff is welcoming and great service. Recommend the breakfast special or icecream on a hot day.

I can’t believe I hadn’t gone sooner! Great location, free parking, and 50’s diner style vibe with a Mediterranean twist. Friendly, family service. I ordered the Schwarma platter using a coupon from a local advertising service and coupon or not, will happily return! FRESH and ample ingredients, and a delicious way to feed 5-6 people easily.

Decent food with a weird confusing atmosphere. It makes me think of a tim hortons mixed with a night club that specialises in shawarma with pub food. The garlic sauce could be better, the meat was good and portions were really good. They give so much potatoes and it was much appreciated. Price reflected what we got, and it was good. Would really like to try some of the other stuff.
