Pimento Jerk Kitchen delivers an unforgettable dining experience that blends rich Caribbean flavours with comfort and soul. I had the pleasure of trying a variety of dishes, and every bite confirmed that this spot deserves a solid five out of five rating.
The braised oxtail was fall-off-the-bone tender, slow-cooked to perfection, and packed with deep, savoury flavour. It was rich and hearty and felt like true comfort food. The BBQ fried chicken was another standout—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a smoky-sweet BBQ glaze that hit all the right notes.
The garlic mashed potatoes were creamy and smooth, with just the right amount of garlic to enhance every bite. The dumplings were soft, warm, and satisfying—perfect for soaking up sauces. The plantain, while not sweet, had a nice firmness and slight char that gave it a subtle, earthy flavour. It balanced well with the rest of the plate without overpowering it.
The meal started with a bowl of chicken vegetable soup, which was well-seasoned, soothing, and full of tender meat and vegetables—a great way to warm up and prepare the palate.
Every dish was clearly made with care, and the portions were generous. The service was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel welcoming and enjoyable.
