Today I ordered the Gyro Wrap which was priced at $14.99, only to be disappointed by the subpar quality and execution. The wrap was overwhelmingly dominated by an excessive amount of lettuce, cabbage, and an abundance of clumped cheese which I assume is parmesan and not feta. The sauce was scant, amounting to little more than a tablespoon, while the gyro meat itself was virtually absent, a mere dozen or so of the smallest pieces Ive seen in a gyro, which were rock hard from being microwaved, all clustered to one side. This resulted in the majority of bites consisting almost entirely of lettuce, and veggies, rendering the wrap unbalanced and unsatisfying. Additionally, I ordered the falafel at $4.99, which to my disappointed, provided just two pitifully small pieces, an offering that felt like a slap in the face, and a mockery of authentic falafel. In the future, when Im in the mood for falafel or a gyro, I will be taking my business to Tahini's instead, where they dont skimp out on portions, are respectful of the cuisine, and have 5 pieces of decently sized pieces at $5.99. Definitely wont be coming here again. 👎
And to the owners of Himalayan Cafe, if you want to know what a real gyro wrap looks like, google Southgate Corner BBQ's gyro wrap.
