I checked out Cowbunga after hearing about their award-winning pizza, and I can see why there’s so much buzz. I ordered the Margherita pizza, and it was genuinely delicious, the crust was perfectly crispy and had that satisfying crunch, and you could tell it was made with care. It’s a simple, classic pizza, but it was executed really well, which says a lot about the quality of the place.
I also tried the Lemon Pepper Plus boneless bites. The chicken was juicy and crisp, not soggy at all, but the flavour itself was just okay, nothing special. I wish they offered a wider variety of flavours for the bites since the texture was great.
The restaurant wasn’t crowded when I went, and there was plenty of seating, which made the experience comfortable and relaxed. The service was quick and friendly, and the staff member I spoke to was super nice and gave great suggestions.
Fun fact — Cowbunga actually won “Best Cheese Slice in the World” at the International Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas, which definitely caught my attention and made me want to try it in the first place!
Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. The Margherita pizza was the star of the meal, and I can’t wait to try their other pizza flavours. If I’m ever in Hamilton again, I’ll definitely stop by for another slice.
